You know what, no.

This game is made by queer people of color (you might actually learn a lot if you look at the account before making assumptions) who wanted to make an inclusive card game that centered marginalized experiences because CAH gives privileged people a get-out-of-jail-free-card for making awful jokes targeting marginalized communities.

From the creator's account: "It's not about political correctness, it's not about wokeness, it's just about us and our experiences in the world. And that's what makes comments [about wokeness/snowflakes] so ironic, is that all I did is make a card game for us by us, to make us feel seen, and people are getting so upset and making assumptions and getting triggered by the fact that this game simply exists."

Seeing a game like this and immediately assuming it's "white liberals who think they're progressive" is just recycled conservative propaganda - that diversity, and inclusion, and wanting to be funny without being offensive, is "snowflake shit" or "annoying wokeness."

Quit being stupid fuckheads making stupid assumptions, and quit picking on queer POC who make fun card games.

Take all of this with a grain of salt because I'm not 100% sure that this isn't some kind of very elaborate satire.

I get that some people don't like the edgy offensive humor in Cards Against Humanity but this has completely missed the point of a card game to an extent that is absolutely surreal.

These folks are desperately relying on "anti-woke" edgelords to bitch about their game so they can make it look like their game is being called "not funny" because marginalized people made it.

The reality, unfortunately, is that their game is being called "not funny" because it is, painfully, nauseatingly not funny.

It's not even that these are bad jokes. It's that they're not jokes. It's that the creators of this game fundamentally don't understand what "funny" is.

I'm totally serious. A game with a core mechanic of combining cards with words on them can be funny because of the possibility of novel and unexpected combinations. These cards are, instead, similar and boring enough that all possible combinations somehow form an equally uninteresting and generic quip that has likely been stated in its entirety on Twitter several times before.

There are no possible combinations here that are funny. The very act of reading aloud each combination in a group setting would be excruciating. Even if they were funny, they would still be fundamentally the same joke 6 times.

But maybe they don't want the game to be funny. Or fun. I mean????? That's a possibility I'm considering?????

First of all, there's no way in hell I would confidently state with my whole chest that something I created had no bigotry or prejudice in it whatsoever.

Second of all, "holding the benefactors of white supremacy accountable" is not what party games are for.

Third of all, creating bland quotes (I can't even call them jokes) lightly poking fun at performative activism, extremely generic girlboss statements, and potential facebook statuses for hippies doesn't hold the benefactors of white supremacy accountable.

This has to be some kind of right-wing grifter bullshit trying to profit off incredulity, right? Right? I'm genuinely frightened of looking like an idiot for believing obvious satire, but I also looked it up and it appears to be a real thing you can buy. I don't know.
